Alejandro J. "Ali" Torres Bueno is indeed a legendary figure in the aviation world, renowned for being the only foreign national to achieve all seven FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) designations. 

This rare feat, which he accomplished in 1987, made him only the 11th pilot in history to reach that level of certification at the time. 

His journey into elite flight instruction began while he was building his company, Tower Air, in his native Venezuela; as the business expanded, his need to train more pilots led him to pursue these certifications, which eventually became a personal obsession with excellence and mastery of the skies.

His background is as diverse as his piloting skills, having transitioned from a successful corporate career with Procter & Gamble in London and New Orleans to becoming a premier entrepreneur and aviation leader in South America. 

Beyond his technical prowess in the cockpit, Alejandro is also celebrated for his athletic history, particularly during his time at the Missouri Military Academy where he was recognized as a standout soccer player and multi-sport athlete.

After returning to Venezuela in 1977 following a successful international corporate career, he founded Tower Air, which quickly grew into the largest Cessna dealership in the country for two decades. 

The operation was far from routine, as his pilots frequently conducted specialized charter flights for the oil industry, transporting sensitive and dangerous cargo like dynamite and blasting caps across the rugged Venezuelan terrain. 

It was this rapid expansion and the critical need for top-tier safety standards that drove him to achieve his historic seven FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) designations, allowing him to personally oversee the training and excellence of his flight crews.  

Throughout his illustrious career, Ali Torres's flight paths have spanned multiple continents, reflecting his status as a truly global aviator. 

His professional and personal life took him through the United Kingdom during his time in London, across various regions of the United States—from Missouri and Louisiana to Florida—and extensively throughout South America, centered around his home base in Maracaibo, Venezuela. 

Given the nature of Tower Air’s logistical support for the energy sector, his wings have touched nearly every corner of the Venezuelan map and likely extended into neighboring territories in the Caribbean and South American regions.
